At a minimum, the SRS fragment shall include and introduction, a functional requirements section with 5-10 requirements and a performance requirements section with 5-10 requirements. No more that 50% of the functional and performance requirements shall be directly taken from the applicable FAA documents. At least 50% of the functional and performance requirements shall be derived from the applicable FAA documents. These derived requirements will include additional details appropriate to the function and performance of your specific unit design. At a minimum, each requirement shall include a verification matrix identifying the verification technique for each of the requirements identified in Section 2.

The requirements document will be evaluated using existing 5 point rubrics for specifications. The rubric based score will be converted to an assignment grade by linearly interpolating the rubric score to a 10 point scale, with an average rubric based score of 3 corresponding to a grade score of 7. For example, assume that the total rubric score is 50 points. Then a rubric-based score of 30 points will correspond to a grade of 7 out of 10. A rubric score of 40 points will correspond to a grade of 8.5 of 10; a rubric score of 45 will correspond to a grade of 9.25.
