Substance abuse counselor to become successful I need know exactly what my job consist of and what I need to to do to succeed in the my career. i know that I will have to found lots of patience dealing with patients struggles with their addictions work with individuals and their families to help them to treat mental and emotional disorders that they may have. I believe the last past assignment has showed me how to deal with different stutions of other. I will need to become aware of different treatment solutions that will better help my client deal with their behavior.

As a substance abuse counselor, is a support system to people who is dealing with drug and alcohol problems, eating disorder and other behavioral issues. I will have to set up aftercare plans, identifying issues and create treatment plan and goal. Assisting patients through drugs rehabilitation programs, and evaluating patient progress during therapy.

By doing the assignments the last few weeks, has allowed me to understand that group therapy is a good way of helping people with their issues. Group therapy will allow individuals to develop self awareness by listening to others issues that might be similar to theirs and sharing each other experience. you can used Cognitive-behavioralProblem solving Groups this learns clients behaviors that can be modify. By doing these assignment I see that people have different issue that will need to be handled different then others.
