Health Administration involves managing various systems of health such as the healthcare system, hospital network and public health system. Administrators are responsible for managing an entire facility, clinical department like human resource, finances, budgeting and etc. We have to be responsible for making sure we are implementing new technological systems for our organization, which include modern coding and billing software, electronic health records, and electronic communication. By being a Christian health administration, we can ensure responsible use of technology by spending affectivity on electronic medical record systems which will allow physicians and hospitals to share patients information. By doing this, it can cut down on time for when patients get transferred from one hospital to the next. Working in a hospital, I see how nurses, physician and even my department registration get lost with communication everyday. Even when a patient is being transferred or coming from another facility like a clinic, we have to constantly ask them what is going on because we have no record of it from the previous facility they were at. It could personally help if we could just search the patient names and see all the notes, medicine that was giving and etc. from the other clinic or hospital. We also have to make sure budget for the new tech expenses that can come about because technology is not something that is inexpensive. As a Christian health administrator when we budget for new innovations, we could reduce the operating costs of our organization and that could possible improve the patient outcomes.
