TheProject Paper focuses on a suggested topic related to art, history, orliterature, with important examples and themes that still resonate today forone’s professional or personal life. The project will reflect your views andinterpretation of the topic. This project is designed to help you stretchyour mind and your abilities to be the creative, innovative, and criticalthinker you already are!

Readthe topic carefully. Write a (4-5) pages that responds to each ofthe items described in the topic. For the topic: 1.Support your ideas withspecific, illustrative examples. If there are questions or pointsassociated with your topic, be sure to answer all of the listed questionsand address all of the items in that topic. If your topic asks you to doseveral things related to the topic, be sure to do each of the thingslisted.

2. The topic have a certain presentation writing genre with it (essay,poem, etc), and the topic involves looking at a distinct form ofpresentation (novel, visual art, poetry, etc. And each topicinvolves some sort of challenge or theme that is relevant to modern workand life. Be creative and admire the creativity of others.

3.Follow the instructions below for what sources to use and whatformatting to use in layout and referencing. Avoid sources that are notgood academic quality for college writing (Wikipedia is oneexample). Do NOT use any source that provides or sells collegeessays.

Topic: Harlem Renaissance Poets. Essay& Poem. Choose two (2) poems by different authors from the HarlemRenaissance. Write an essay that:

1.Describes each author’s role and importance within the HarlemRenaissance.

2.Identify the elements in each of their poems in which you seeevidence of the “double-consciousness” being expressed by each author.

3.Fully describe at least two (2) primarythemes you see in the poetry written during this time period, referring tospecific lines in each of the poems.

4.Discuss how these lines challenge or inspire you for your personallife or profession.
