Project Instructions:

Down Syndrome Data Analysis

• In class you will select a biological topic; see list Below.
  • Find a research paper on your topic that will help you understand it enough to teach us about it; primarily explain their data.
• E-mail a 3 ppt presentation and submit a 1-page research analysis to me by 11/14/2018.
  • Power Point
    • Not too much writing
    • Must include chart or graph with data (must explain in detail what it shows)
    • Understand that you only have room and time for a few details and the main idea of the topic
  • Analysis
    • Should use the same data as in ppt (Ideally right after title, before writing)
    • Following a Title and the data write a short paragraph or two (5-10 sentences) expressing how the “cited” data supports your point of view.
    • On the 3^rd section indicate in bullet points what 5 in class discussion topics helped you change or enhanced your knowledge of the matter.
    • At the end have a small section that list your sources, a minimum of 3 are required, but one respected one minimal that is used to obtain data.
  • Hints
    • Remember to focus on what the data supports or not.
    • You will be graded on the organization of both ppt and Analysis, your ability to use the data when presenting your slide, and in your writing to explain the experimental data. My opinions or even what the textbook suggest will not be taken into account.
