Sternberg defines creativity as a drive resulting in theproduction of something “both original and worthwhile” (LaureateEducation, 2007). He suggests that creative people demonstratenon-conforming attitudes toward commonly held societal conventionsthat hamper their creative pursuits, as well as demonstrating aconsistent drive to attend to their creative interests. Creativeindividuals also show a willingness to take risks as well ascriticism in the interest of improving their creative work.

For this Discussion, consider the arguments made in the video inthis week’s Learning Resources. Think about ways that you haveaddressed problems, in particular the level of creativity you mayhave brought to solutions. Consider whether individuals canincrease their own levels of creativity.
