• We understand DreamPak’s mission to find the ideal consumer segment for Mr. Batter’s Pancake Batter, and through both primary and secondary research, we have developed preferential personas for the company to explore and market toward.
• First, we began with secondary research on the Breakfast Food Market to determine American consumer habits on large
• We coupled our secondary research with primary research
  • Our research explored breakfast preferences and habits across various market segments
  • We also demonstrated the product across various market segments to gain an understanding of each segment’s initial reaction toward the product to help shape our ultimate recommendations
  • Before we get into the meat of our research, we wanted to provide an overview for you to show where ready-to-eat pancakes fall in terms of sales and consumer preferences in the US breakfast marketplace
  • The chart here on the left shows that 53% of polled consumers states that pancakes/waffles were a preferred breakfast item
    • However, we see a discrepancy as it relates to sales. Ready-to-eat cereal continues to be the most popular product in the breakfast category despite not being as popular as pancakes in preferred breakfasts.
  • Based on our research, this discrepancy has to do with lifestyle and the consumer’s journey, which we’ll touch more on later.
