In the first section of this paper, you should present a summary of research and pedagogical techniques

in the teaching of the particular aspect of English you have chosen. Your research may be based on

This section should be both historical and current in nature, comparing older pedagogical trends and/or

strategies with more recent techniques and ideas. This is the background section and should be only as

long as needed to give the reader some understanding of the topic.

The next section should include an evaluation of these trends and techniques in light of your own

language learning and/or teaching experiences, observations, and intuitions. This part, of course, is the

heart of the essay; this is your chance to demonstrate what you have learned from researching this topic

and how you can apply that knowledge to your present or future teaching, and specifically to the

development of your lesson plan.

The final section, the conclusion, summarizes the paper and is followed by the bibliography (APA format).
