You have explored how motivation takes place on individual, group, and collective bases. You also have examined whether change can take place without motivation. You have analyzed the cultural, individual, and group dynamics involved in motivation. Now, you examine the broader implications of motivation and how you can harness it to affect social change. Motivation is a powerful force in human psychology, and, as such, can be used to move others to positive action.

This week, you analyze motivational factors necessary for social change and develop a motivational change plan for a social issue using the motivational theories you have learned about in the course.
