Hi All, For me critical thinking involves extensive thinking at work. I have try to use all possibilities and or scenarios. I work in financial workouts so when we are trying to restructure a deal I map out all directions I can think of. If we do it this way this could happen or if we do it that way we position ourselves for a higher payoff but at a higher risk of losing. SO critical thinking is very important in my job. Once I determine what I believe is the best scenario I will then set up a meeting to review and explain why I think these are the best two options and then let my boss provide any feedback if any. 3) PEER REVIEW
In my opinion , critical thinking involves being able to perform duties that are needed while under pressure. Some people are able to handle the worst situation and be able to stay calm even though the stakes are high. A time in my life where I had to use critical thinking was: One time I was riding with a friend and he was going somewhere I am sure my parents would disapprove. I had to think quick of how to get out of the situation so I pretended to get sick and got dropped off at hospital. I called my parents to pick me up and they were proud of my decision and their trust level increase for me. I was able to do whatever I wanted because they could trust I would make the right decision. I have showed my employer that I have critical thinking skills on our production line. You have to make a quick decision which part goes where in a timely manner and I do a great job. I was promoted to team lead because of my ability to do so. I now train all new hires because of my method I came up with to tell the difference in parts. |
