Etisalat is the brand name of the emirates telecommunication group company. It is currently ranked among the top telecommunication companies in the Middle Eastern part of the world. It has also been able to venture to another 16 countries above its mother country which is the UAE (Kolachi, & Akan, 2014). The company has with itself some resources which it owns and gets returns regarding finances from, and this diversification helps them obtain a competitive advantage. One of the resources that they offer and get revenue from is by the sales of telecommuting gadgets like phones. They also provide internet services to their client in collaboration with other companies such as Du. It also owns a platform known as the Etisalat digital business unit.

According to the analysis of the companies, the most promising resource which if invested in more can bring more returns is that of the internet service provision. The world today is becoming more technology and the phones nowadays require internet especially the most adapted smartphones (Kolachi & Akan, 2014). If the company decides to put more emphasis on this sector, they are likely to have a large customer base globally. However, they should divest from sponsoring random events in the name of marketing since they are an already established brand and such energy and resources can be directed elsewhere.

Lastly, it is also important to note that the Etisalat company still has room to acquire more resources and make them part of their resources. One of them is that of mobile banking and services. It has been proven that customers admire more the mobile way of banking instead of having to make long queues in the banks all day. If they adapt in more depth the resources of mobile banking and services under their name, we might not only talk of the company being the leading in the Middle East but also in the entire globe.
