• Explain what value the manager you interviewed places on employee career or professional development and training.
• Identify the role of the manager in helping employees reach their career or professional objectives through the employee life cycle (from entering the workforce through retirement). Does the manager see any room for improvement in this area? Why or why not?
• On the basis of your interview, outline proactive approaches employee can employ to gain assistance from their manager to advance within the organization and discuss how training and other methods can be used to promote professional development in any phase of the employee life cycle.
• Address the steps employees can take to ensure they receive assistance on a continual basis from the manager or organizational resources for self-development in the workplace.
