During my web search, I found the below companies for best and worst human resource business.

Best: FedEx
FedEx has been implementing innovating HR practices within its company in 2003 its name on Fortune magazine among the best 100 companies to work for. Recruitment changes increased training and employee communication and performance appraisals are just a few of implementations FedEx adapted. Some benefits FedEx provides to employees are jump seating (free flights to areas where FedEx flies to), appreciation bonus 401 3.5% match up and best of all opportunities to promote.

Worst: Uber
Most recently Uber has been in the spotlight for sexual harassment and discrimination by management where human resource rejected. Uber HR department fails to implement a better recruitment system that puts in place background check and fingerprints potential drivers. Their lack of interest in hiring only quality drivers has yielded them multiple cases where passenger have been sexually assaulted by drivers. Uber claims that the drivers are contractors and not liable for their actions. In June 2018 Uber's head HR resigned due to discrimination and months of constant changes claiming she works in a hostile environment.

POST 2:

One of the first articles I ran across of an HR department failing was the Weinstein Co. handling of the alleged sexual misconduct by the founder Harvey Weinstein. Numerous women reported the misconduct, only to be ignored or told to “laugh it off”. The company now faces a lawsuit that has been filed by several women, due to its negligence, and the fact the company even concealed Harvey Weinstein’s conduct. The Weinstein company is currently in a liquidation process, due to bankruptcy, however a judge recently ruled the company will still be responsible, and need to represent themselves in the class-action lawsuit. (Church,2018). The unfortunate part is that had the HR department acted more appropriately and with the first or second accusation, several hundreds of women could have been spared the alleged sexual harassment, and rape that these women have been reporting.

Another company I found in my internet search is West Monroe Partners. It is a technology consulting company that offers the 1+1+1 program, which means 1% of their time goes to volunteering, 1% of their time is dedicated to free consulting for non-profit organizations, and 1% of its profits are donated. They also have a Fischer Fellowship, which employees can apply for a 3-6 month paid trip to perform volunteer work anywhere in the world. (Berjek,2017) This company was just 1 of the top 100 companies in the world ranked for best HR in 2017.
