For this Assignment, review the specific writing formats found in Chapter 14 of your textbook, and create three public relations documents. These will include a press release, media alert, and pitch letter. Each document will be no longer than one to two pages. You will find the proper format for writing all three public relations documents in the textbook. In addition, there needs to be an explanation of the publicity photos that would be sent with the documents (using the guidelines in the text for effective publicity photos), and your distribution rationale.

The three documents must be formatted correctly (according to the samples in the text), well written, and contain accurate and timely information. Your topic can be one of three choices:

Continue the Unit 4 Assignment topic (the one you chose for the questionnaire).

Address a new media topic. For instance a grand opening, new product or new service launch (there are examples in the text). This can be a current event topic, related to your work, or another organization in which you are involved. Note: This option requires instructor approval prior to completing the Assignment.

Use the case activity on page 392 (on the opening of a university library) of the text. Use the information provided in the case activity to complete the Assignment.

You may select your audience (although the case study includes the audience). Will your audience be the local community, national, or international? You decide. Keep in mind how you would engage the designated media to use your press materials in their news stories, and also social media and social networking sites.

Along with the three press materials, include an introduction page on the Assignment that discusses the audience selected and why you chose a local, national or international audience. Also, using the guidelines of effective publicity photos in the text, provide a description of the possible publicity photos that could be used in the media materials.

Make sure your finished Assignment includes:

Introduction page with audience, rationale of why audience was chosen, and description of possible publicity photos (including the text material to support decisions)

All three original public relations materials with proper format and detail targeted towards chosen audience.

Please type your using 12-point Times New Roman font and double-spacing using Standard American English.

Include citations to avoid plagiarism. It is always necessary to give the author credit.

Make sure to include a reference page, with a professionally recognized method of formatting and documentation for all sources. Please be sure to use proper APA format for all of your sources. Submit Your Assignment

Compose your assignment in a Word document. Save it in a location and with a name that you will remember. When you are ready to submit it, go to the Dropbox and complete the steps below:
