For this assignment, you will be placed (virtually) in areal-world scenario that occurs in schools. Please read the followingdescription of the authentic performance task and complete therequirements as described in the scenario.

SCENARIO

Imagine you are an Early Childhood Specialist in an earlychildhood program and you will design a presentation for parents on thebasics of ‘Mistaken Behavior, Aggression, and Challenging Behavior’.Outline this training in writing and develop three key ideas of supportfor each part of the program to include:

• The three relational levels: Surviving, adjusting, and encountering by S. Harlow
• Three Considerations of mistaken behavior, aggression, and challenging behavior (consult your text)
• Guidance Tips for Talking with Parents about Their Children

Assignment 2:

The purpose of this assignment is to have students familiarizethemselves with the NAEYC positions on the topic of guidance with youngchildren. By familiarizing themselves with the position statements ofthis organization, students become more informed, intentional,politically active, and effective educators.

1. Go to the following link and pick three articles that interest you. Read them and complete the steps described below. National Association for the Education of Young Children

1. Create a table that includes the following headings: a)Summary, b) Classroom Application, and c) Course connections. Fill-inthe table for each of the three choices of articles from the websiteprovided. This information can be simple bullets and/or short sentences.

• Summary- A synopsis of the important points from the article you chose.
• Classroom Application-Provide two ideas per article for how the information in each articlecan be used in the classroom for guiding student’s behavior.
• Course Connections- Make at least one connection per article to content from this week’s readings.
