A hiring manager needs your advice and assistance in filling several customer service representative positions. As a human resource recruiter, you must sit down with the hiring manager and collect some particular data for a job analysis, which you will use to create a detailed job description to attract candidates who meet the job requirements.

Research and focus your discussion on the following:

• Discuss the importance of a job analysis.
• Provide the steps to take in conducting a job analysis.
• Explain 2–3 advantages and disadvantages to collecting data (interview, observation, historical data, survey or questionnaire, focus groups, or case studies) for the job analysis of a customer service representative position.

Human resource recruiters around the country have started finding candidates in unique, innovative, and creative ways.

Research and focus your discussion on the following:

• Discuss some unique and innovative ways in which companies attract candidates in the technical industry.
• What recommendations would you suggest to your company or industry to make recruiting more unique and innovative to attract new talent?

Part Three: (750 Words):

Continuing with the assumptions from the previous discussion, as the human resources training professional, you have trained hiring managers about the importance of some employment laws. After your training, you have asked managers to provide feedback to you about their understanding of the 6 employee laws. The following laws were included in the training:

• Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
• Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)
• Equal Pay Act
• Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
• Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)

Research the following questions to determine the expected responses from the hiring managers:

• How could each of the employment laws affect attracting potential candidates to your company or industry?
• How would you use the laws to narrow down the best candidates to be interviewed?
• How are the laws used in the interview process?
• How are the laws used in a job description or a job posting, and why?

Research and create a PowerPoint presentation of at least 4 slides (with 200-250 words of speaker notes per slide) plus title and reference slide that addresses the following:

• Describe up to 10 bulleted details that should be found in a customer service representative job description.
• What level of education and experience should be necessary for a customer service representative, and why?
• What level of knowledge of the industry should the customer service representative have, and why?
• How and why are the job description functions, education, experience, and knowledge so important in attracting qualified candidates for possible interviews?
