How do you believe the American labor movement's early purpose and need has evolved over the years since the Inheritance?
Look at Figure 2.5 in the text by Budd; using this flowchart, which school of thought do you believe is the most appropriate? What is the role of the labor movement under this school? How does this compare to the labor movement as described in The Inheritance? How would you define the meaning of the term "The Inheritance?"
