Description
Pretend you are helping a new student learn to use the reading process in three steps. Develop a short guide, or instructions, in your own words, to help them plan to read, read/increase comprehension, and remember what they have read. Make sure you provide a brief description of each step as you go through the process, and why the step is important.
Make it interesting! Feel free to use banners, images, and short text breaks/instructional steps. Remember, you are writing this guide for incoming students who have not yet gone through this module. Remember to explain things IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to solidify and make concrete the strategies you have practiced in our reading and will continue to hone throughout the term. As you will often hear me say, "If you can explain it, you own it!"
Directions
Review the three step reading process, and feel free to use outside resources to deepen your understanding if you so choose (but make sure you credit any sources you might use in your final assignment, and also that you use your OWN words in your answers.
