In this culminating project, you will set up a blog online by doing the following:
Choose an online blog platform to create your blog on. WordPress.com, Blogger.com, and Thoughts.com are examples of free blogs, though you are free to use any software, service, or technology of your choice. Sites that require a paid subscription are not required, especially with so many free options available online.
Create a 500-750 word “About” section on your blog that shares a little about you, the author, and sets the context of your blog's multicultural literary theme by doing the following:
- Provide a general introduction to Multicultural Literature, based on what you've read and written this semester, that will offer some context for the presentation of your seven blog posts.
- Complete this introduction by addressing the objectives for Topic 8:
Include a definition of the term global as it relates to literature.
Explain how the blurring of national boundaries is represented in 20th-century literature.
Explain how 20th-century literature portrays struggles with cultural identity.
Take each of the Literary Blog Entry assignments you have written in Topics 1-7 of this course and make any improvements, if needed, to each based on the instructor feedback you received.
Create blog entries in the online blog platform for each of the seven Literary Blog Entry assignments.
You may select the format of your choice. Attention should be given to both the presentation as well as the content of your writing. Visual and technological elements such as layout, the use of hyperlinks, etc. must be included.
