Assignment 2: Computer Laws

Today, there are many laws that address different acts of computer crimes. Select one of the laws presented in Chapter three (3) or four (4) of the textbook.

Write a 3-4 page paper in which you:

Identify the chosen law and evaluate its impact on society in the U.S. and / or global environment.
Describe the penalties and fines that exist for offenders of the selected law.

Research the Internet for news articles and judicial cases that provide details on how this law was exercised and realized convictions.

Analyze the effectiveness of the law at convicting offenders to determine any modifications that should be made to the law.
Suggest a change or ratification of the law and explain how your changes will impact society as well as those convicted of the crime.
Summarize the challenges the prosecution faced in a trial from your research and whether you believe they could have handled the challenges differently.
Use at least four (4) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

"Computer Crime Techniques" Please respond to the following:

Design a mock phishing method that is commonly observed today. In your method, describe details that could be asked to a victim, in order to compromise their identity or electronic account.
Relate your experience of instances where you have received an email from a phishing scam. Describe how you knew the email was fraudulent and rate its capacity to confuse victims into providing the targeted information.
If you have never received a phishing scam by email, provide details as to what signs, or characteristics of the email, one must look out for, in order to detect a phishing scam.

"Cyber-Terrorism Attacks" Please respond to the following:

From the e-Activity, identify two types of cyber-terrorism attacks. Describe the impact that each attack made to the organizations. Provide details on what organizations or industries across the board have done to minimize these threats from reoccurring.
Evaluate government agency initiatives and programs that may have been developed, as a response to cyber-terrorism attacks

"Creating the Project Schedule" Please respond to the following:

Give your opinion on which graphical representation of a project schedule (e.g., Gantt or PERT) is ideal for presenting the project schedule to a company executive with no project management background, and also discuss the need of shortening project schedules. Based on what you’ve been experiencing in class so far, support your decision based on your comfort with each.
