PRELIMINARIES: Our discussion this week has two parts and are related to chapters 35 and 36.Do both parts. There is also the usual EXPLORE list under the topic.Be sure to use that instead of any random googling for answers–you arerequired to use the class text each week and at least one of theEXPLORE-listed websites. - STREAM AND SCREAM:Write for one minute using the stream of consciousness writing method(Note: You may also type it offline and copy it within this discussionthread). Describe your experience and your reaction to what you wrote.Of the samples of the stream of consciousness technique given in thisweek's chapters (see pages listed under EXPLORE), determine which ofthose streaming styles you prefer and explain the reasons why.
- Of the various authors, artists, and musicians who participated in the Harlem Renaissance,identify the person whose autograph you would most want (or somesimilar gesture of admiration), and explain the reasons why. Provide oneexample that illustrates the reason why you selected the person thatyou did. (The example–specific lines in a poem; specific song;specific work; etc).
