1. How might climate change affect beneficial protists that produce our oxygen and form the base of the food chain?
   1. Climate change could affect beneficial protists that produce oxygen and form the base of the food change because it could result in the mass death of organisms that cannot survive in warming environments. Since half the oxygen breathed by people is produced by aquatic protists, warming waters could seriously harm the populations. It could drive them away or kill them, and this could make pathogens spread more. Infectious encounters could increase, and the beneficial protists could become a thing of the past.
2. How might climate change be beneficial for protest species?
   1. Climate change could be beneficial for protist species because some protists could thrive from the rise in average global temperatures. Some conditions could make growth of protists more favorable, like the N. fowleri amoeba that survives and thrives in higher aquatic temperatures.
3. What life characteristics of protists will be most affected by climate change?
   1. The life characteristics of protists that are most impacted by climate change would be the chance to infect hosts if the protists increase and have more ideal conditions for reproduction. Life cycles will most likely be impacted the most, as many cannot reproduce in less than ideal conditions.
