Goals of Assignment:

• Illustrate student’s understanding of material covered throughout the semester
• Gain experience giving an oral presentation

Requirements:

• Develop a 5-7 minute presentation in which you use at least five visual artifacts to express who YOU are. The presentation/analysis should incorporate topics from class through analysis of one or more of the following:

• An advertisement
• A comic strip or cartoon
• A magazine layout or cover
• A photograph
• A film or poster from a film
• A television program
• Any other form of the visual (logos, product packaging, etc.)

The visual artifacts should reveal something about you – likes/dislikes, personality, personal history, goals, hopes aspirations, etc. Besides these basic requirements, you should be creative and come up with an original presentation.

• You must support your oral presentation with PowerPoint (or some other visual aid like Prezi) or with at least six slides. Your visual presentation should be visually pleasing and follow the guidelines for effective use discussed in class.

• The oral portion of your presentation will be evaluated as well. Examples of areas of evaluation include: posture/movement, gestures, facial expression, eye contact,vocal pacing,volume,etc.
