The clients that are living in Poverty

What is their overall household income or source of income?

What are the qualifying factors to prove this is their classification?

What is the client percentage of males to females?

Define reliability in 2-3 sentences and give one example of how you would establish reliability for the questions you created.

Reliability is the degree to which the result of a measurement, calculation, or specification can be depended on to be correct. Reliability is when the measurements yield consistent when the phenomenon that is being measured doesn’t change. Measuring poverty is defining an indicator of welfare such as income or consumption per capita. Using a stratified random sampling from surveyed data to establish reliability would be an example. Define validity in 2-3 sentences and give one example of how you would establish validity for the questions you created.

Validity is the extent to which your indicators measure what it is supposed to measure. Validity also means being factually sound. I would count how many male and female clients are seen in the last year would classify according to set standards to be on the poverty level.

Create a measurement plan to assess the phenomenon.

Count the current clients male and female then calculate the percentage or proportion of males to females that my agency would serve for instance if we served 150 females and 100 males then the result would be the population of females we saw would be sixty percent of the population.

Describe the methodology you would use to collect data using your measurement tool (your method for acquiring this research data).

Data could be collected by doing an interview with the clients or self-administered questionnaires

Data could come from other sources that have been collected from state agencies or other nongovernmental sources. Federal grant reports and reports of demonstration projects is a way to get collected data (Yegidis, Weinbach & Myers, 2018, p. 247).

Explain the advantages and disadvantages of your choices.

The advantages would the participants would more than likely complete the interview. The disadvantage could be that the researcher personally asking questions can influence how the questions are answered (Yegidis, Weinbach & Myers, 2018, p. 268).
