2. Scroll to page 56 in the booklet (page 57 out of 82 of the PDF file) and locate the passage that begins, “So pronounced is the book club phenomenon that the format has spread to other venues and media, the most famous of these being ‘the book club’ component of Oprah Winfrey’s television talk show.”
3. Read the passage and answer questions 25–37.
4. Scroll to page 60 of the booklet (page 61 out of 82 of the PDF file) and locate the passage that begins, “Climatologists speak of thunderstorms pregnant with tornadoes…”
5. Read the passage and answer questions 38–50.
6. When you have completed your practice sets, check your work by reviewing the answers located on page 64 of the booklet (page 65 out of 82 of the PDF file).

Reflect

Write a three-part reflection on your practice experience.

• In part one, write a paragraph that discusses your performance on this set of practice questions. At which types of questions do you excel? With which type of question do you struggle the most? Are you more comfortable with certain types of passages? Explain. If you were to give other students advice on this passage and set of questions, what would you tell them? Which concepts would you give them a review on prior to attempting this practice set?
• In part two of your reflection, create a chart or make a bulleted list for the questions you missed. Include the question number and the actual question.
  • Identify the answer you selected for each and, in complete sentences, explain why that answer is not correct.
  • Next, identify the correct answer for each and, in complete sentences, explain why that answer is the best choice.
  • If you did not miss any questions, choose any three questions from this practice and explain why the correct answers are the best choices.
• In part three, write a paragraph that compares this practice experience with those that you have completed in previous modules. In what areas are you improving? Choose two tips from the list of ten that you have incorporated into your practice and describe how they have helped you improve your comfort level or your score. Look at the list of ten tips again. Choose a strategy that you plan to try in your next practice attempt and explain your choice.
