     The purpose of this activity is to read about the Reader-Response critical theory as it relates to the Billy Collins lecture and poem, Introduction to Poetry, in which he encourages us "not to tie a poem to a chair." Exploring this approach will be used later to write a Reader-Response analysis for a Billy Collins poem.Directions
