To do this you may use theFerrante text, and lecture notes, (remember to credit people for theirwords and ideas when you use them (in other words, do not plagiarize,it’s illegal)). Please take the time to explain the ideas or concepts you use in your answers. Do not simply quote the author. You should quote and explain, using your own words. I want to see that you have not only read the materials, but that you understand them as well. solitary activity, and this means that you are not to work “in groups.” There is no page limit f,nor is there a page or paragraph minimum (though writing a page and ahalf double-spaced per question seems reasonable). Again, you are onlyrequired to be thorough, and fully answer the questions (though partialcredit will be assessed for those responses that are less thancomplete). Brieflydiscuss the difference between a status and a role. Briefly discuss thedynamic between in-groups and out-groups. What is a formalorganization? Briefly discuss the concept of 'McDonaldization'.

4. Briefly discuss the difference between deviance and crime. Brieflydiscuss the various types of deviants (pure, secret, primary, andsecondary). Briefly discuss the concept of Social Control. Brieflydiscuss the difference between obedience and conformity. Brieflydiscuss the approach to deviance taken by social theorist ÉmileDurkheim.

Extra Credit (4 points)

Basedon our in-class discussions, briefly explain the connection betweenculture, socialization and social interaction, the recent gun controldebate occurring in the US.
