- What is your cultural background?
- What are some things that you value about your culture?
- How does your family maintain connections to your culture? (for examples symbolic traditions and rituals)
- What are some things about your culture that you would like other people to know?
- What are some things about your culture that you would plan to transmit to the next generation (for example which would you like to continue with your family?)
- Which social institution do you think has had the most influence in your life? Give one example of how this has shaped your identity.
- How did your family avoid or attempt assimilation, and /or discrimination or bias? Were ethnic roots emphasized or downplayed? (for example did members of your family have to change their names, etc.?)
- What conclusions do you personally draw about your emerging identity and belonging? Please give at least one example.
Video of presentation, 3-5 slides and a formal outline submitted to canvas
