you must complete a full IRAC for each claimant. Use the models I gave you. Remember, since there are four elements to tort liability, under each claimant, there must be a sub-IRAC for each of duty, breach, damages, causation.

Make sure to go into the Rules list and include all the Rule statements that apply to that claimant. Also, make sure the Facts/Application specifically match the Rule you provide for it.

For example, many students are giving the Rule for a "reasonable man," (which should be located under either duty or breach depending on the Rule), yet, the facts being applied in that sub-IRAC does not talk about what a "reasonable man" would do or how it was breached.

This exercise is the student's opportunity to argue facts based on law provided. Be creative and have fun arguing the rules as applied to each claimant. For this exercise, you can make assumptions and even create additional rules or assumptions (because in the real world, you'd be able to do more research to find those additional cases).

I've extended the due date to Wednesday 1:00PM. So everyone has a chance to turn it in still. But the key is to do so correctly, as this is a required skill for your final exam. It is worth 10 points.

IRAC provides a simple template that just requires filling in the blanks where the Rule and Facts belong.So each section is not lengthy of complicated. But you will need to understand the course lessons on IRAC'ing which includes having the proper and complete structure I – R – A – C and choosing relevant rules and facts. For guidance, you can refer back to your earlier readings as your textbook provides great examples and step-by-step assistance.
