In this assignment, you will generate the final coding by adding the capabilities to the developed application to display the selected image, customize the ImageAdapter class, and define the layout using the getView( ) method.
Tip: Reference pages 273 to 284 of the Android Boot Camp textbook when completing this assignment.
At a minimum, you must complete the following for this assignment:
- Instantiate the GridView and ImageView controls.
- Use a setAdapter with an ImageAdapter.
- Code the onItemClickListener.
- Code a Custom Toast Notification.
- Display the Selected Image.
- Customize the ImageAdapter Class.
Compile a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:
- Provide a screenshot of the GridView and ImageView controls along with the developed code. Tip: See Figures 7-12 and 7-13 on pages 273 and 274 of the Android Boot Camp textbook.
- Provide a screenshot of a setAdapter with an ImageAdapter along with the developed code. Tip: See Figures 7-14 and 7-15 on pages 275 and 276 of the Android Boot Camp textbook.
- Provide a screenshot of the onItemClickListener along with the developed code. Tip: See Figures 7-16 and 7-17 on pages 278 and 279 of the Android Boot Camp textbook.
- Provide a screenshot of a Custom Toast Notification along with the developed code. Tip: See Figures 7-18 and 7-19 on pages 280 and 281 of the Android Boot Camp textbook.
- Provide a screenshot of the Selected Image along with the developed code. Tip: See Figure 7-20 on page 282 of the Android Boot Camp textbook.
- Provide a screenshot of the ImageAdapter Class along with the developed code. Tip: See Figures 7-21 and 7-22 on pages 283 and 284 of the Android Boot Camp textbook.
