this is the prompt i was given also there is an attachment of exactly what my professor is asking! It's not due for a while, but i need a good grade on this. Take your time on writing it, no rush! its basically a discussion/ comparison about pop graphics vs. art muesuem. This professor is real picky about going deep into this such as the types of images or oils what generation it came from. For this I ask about a minimum of 300 words. Also include the images you have chosen, should not be to difficult. Questions you should be thinking about are

heres exaclty what the professor wrote in that picture that isnt clear:

"By the end of the 19th century advances in printing and distribution were offering a viable alternative to the art of the parlor, the church and the museum. It was art for the rank and file, art for the person on the street corner.

Some was certainly awful, generic or pandering, but it could also be powerful, masterful, inspiring even.

And it was art for poor boys like me.

Unlike most art historians I don't build a brick wall between the two genres. Great ideas for popular art have origins in the museum and great ideas in the museum have origins in pop culture. A lot of what was once considered popular art, the Japanese woodblock print for example, has crossed over and is now considered museum art.

The line is often fuzzy and the two are better allies than enemies.
