" The article this week discusses the security risk that consumers continually put themselves in. The risks come from the reuse of passwords and pin numbers across multiple accounts. Even when asked if they think they are at risk for fraud or security breach, there is still reuse of passwords and pins. There were many questions asked about various security measures and weather or not people use them and it seems that no more than half of people are ever using proper security. The article split up the answers based on generation to see if the lax in security differed between generations and it did. The results show that the baby boomers are most likely to catch fraudulent activity and use different passwords across all accounts. Even though millennial's and generation Z are growing up surrounded by the concern of security breaches and identity theft, they are the most lazy when it comes to protecting accounts.

This article digs in on Delaine Maria D’Costa and her Instagram hack. Her IG account focused on her travels with her husband where they gained a little over 100K followers. One day, she receives an email where she ended up getting phished and this person was demanding money or else they would wipe out her account. After a lot of digging and trying to contact IG's support, she managed to get her account restored. This goes to show that you don't have to be a celebrity to get hacked. It can happen to anyone that's vulnerable. "
