What are Wikis? What kind of resource are they?

Write a 3000 character mini-essay on your User Discussion Page outlining your response to this question. this is a small brief of my experience on wiki which I should include together with this assignment and please forgive my writing 🙂

from my own experience of learning using Wikibooks: I did find it extremely difficult at the beginning because i never used the encoding programs

or any other digital program, I didn't have any background on these kind of programming or other such thing as wikipedia I have been wounding how it works and now I know ( almost). After I start working on Wikibooks for this module it became much easier and more fun day by day. now I can say that I have the knowledge of how people write on Wikibooks, I know how to edit and write, what to avoid when publishing, how to reference on wiki, how to include an image and I realized that not everybody can publish anything it needs a special procedure and protocol for writing and publication.

I used self teaching to learn using Wikibooks, by visiting another pages on trying to find out the right coding for what I'm looking for, I am very proud of what I have learned so far and even If I choose to go for the dissertation I will still need to learn more about it. actually, I have been contacted by wikiarabia and wiki Egypt to contribute, I don't think that I can do much right now for both but for sure its going to happen in the near future.
