Assignment Guidelines

The focus of this week is phenomenology and grounded theory examples.You have been asked to write a scholarly analysis to include the following:

ïExplain the purpose of the study and summarize the guiding research questions.

ïExplain the role the researcher(s) assumed in this study.

ïDetermine how the researchers applied the principles of either the phenomenology or ground theory design to address their research problem. Explain how it was an appropriate qualitative design to effectively address their research problem of interest.

ïIdentify the data collection strategies used by the researcher(s).

ïExamine any ethical issues that emerged in the research.

ïIdentify and explain the challenges/limitations of the study.

ïProvide an overall assessment of the study and indicate whether the approach was effective.

ïRecommend additions and/or modifications for consideration.

ïThe paper should be about phenomenology and grounded theory approaches in qualitative research.

ïThere is one article for each approach

ïYou need to read each article and address each of the categories (LISTED ABOVE) as it applies to the phenomenology approach

ïThen you move to the grounded theory article and address each of the categories (LISTED ABOVE) as it applies to the grounded theory approach.
