In Chapter 4 of the text – Managing & Using Information Systems: A Strategic Approach, the chapter discusses IT and Work Location. This week we looked at how technology allows workers to telecommute and "work from home". This topic is a very interesting but complicated for the technology professional that must setup this arrangement.

Using the lessons learned in Chapter 4 of the text about the challenges from an IT management standpoint, apply this knowledge to the following situation. Your company has decided to allow the sales team to telecommute and work in the field. You have 25 sales people who will be working outside of the walls of your organization. You are charged with developing a plan that includes specifics about PC equipment, remote connectivity to company servers and information, and collaboration tools like web video conferencing and file sharing.

This submission should be in the form of a letter to your company CEO.

You must have 2 scholarly journal articles along with your text to support your analysis. Try to find articles that are less than 5 years old.

Initial posts must be 600 words but no more than 800 words. Responses to classmates 300 words each (2 required).
