Before you start writing, you need to carefully read the case study and make a note of the main issues and

problems involved as well as the main stakeholders (persons or groups of persons who have an interest in the

case).

A case study response would include the following elements:

Introduction

Introduce the main issues relevant to the case and briefly outline the overall problem to be solved.

Identify the key stakeholders in the case, their involvement in the case issues and describe and evaluate their different

perspectives and interests.

Analysis & Evaluation & Discussion Sections

Discuss the issues raised one by one, using information gained from your research of the academic literature.

Always assume that your reader knows nothing of the assignment task and provide enough information to give

a context for your analysis and evaluation of the issues. You should evaluate connections to theoretical and

empirical academic research. This section should describe the ways in which theoretical and empirical

research are related and can be applied to the central issues and problem in the case. Your analysis should

lead to a set of conclusions that are supported by appropriate evidence. You may have more than one

conclusion/recommendation and should evaluate the solutions or ideas for these which should then be your

conclusion/recommendation.

Conclusion / Recommendations

Finally, sum up the conclusions or recommendations that you have come to and give your recommendations to

resolve the case. Your conclusion/recommendations should provide a description and analysis of the expected

results from implementing your proposed plans of action.
