To begin with, I believe anytime I read the word of God it will always be relevant to my life. The word of God is an outline that which anyone can govern their everyday life. Philippians states “finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things” (Philippians 4:8, KJV). In so many words God is saying trust the good things and there is not any problems greater than him.
When I look at myself with a current situation on my job. The only thing that has gotten me through is the word of God. Sometimes stress and psychological hardiness puts an undeniable burden on our mental and physical being. This will calls us to get off course in everyday life situations. In Psalm it states why my soul, is downcast; why am I disturbed within? Put my hope in God (Psalm 42:11, KJV). In this day and time as well this generation we have so much to deal with and carry. Which isn’t meant for us to care, Ephesians 3:20 says “turn your attention to God and not on your situation(s).”
In addition to my pastor taught me six biblical steps for handling and dealing with stress and to support psychological hardiness. Here are a few: 1. Worship: when you don’t know what to say, pray through the situation with scripture to support to receive help from God. 2. Pray: through stress in which requires meditation and focus on the Lord God. This will take my attention from things of this world to focus on the heavenly father. Rath (2007) talks about restorative in “The 34 Themes and Ideas for Action”, he stated it’s a wonderful feeling to identify undermining factor(s), and eradicate them and restore it to its true glory (p. 153). Allow God and his word be part of the process of healing and recognizing that it was him.
