The vocabulary the students need to know is vocabulary to express empathy e.g: I understand you, I'm sorry etc.; and vocabulary to actually give advice: You could…, if I were you I would….
Also, after they have written the message (during the lesson) they should think about the question: what are good friends like? or what is true friendship.
