I thought I'd share with you my concerns for the future:

1) I live in an apartment without A/C because the SF Bay Area's climate is generally cool enough to do so with only a few heat waves a year. As temperatures increase we are supposed to have more heatwaves and the hottest ones will be slightly warmer. As a result, I will have to use more electricity to either put in a portable A/C or buy more fans. This will increase my electricity bill. This may also affect my sleep patterns at night due to my apartment not cooling down fast enough.

2) If the heatwaves and droughts get worse in America, then agriculture will suffer. I would expect that food prices would increase as a result due to the lack of supply. I would then have to end up paying more.

3) I expect overall taxes to increase as the public governments look for more ways to build infrastructure to adapt to climate change.

Unfortunately, my own personal opinion, is that there will be a trickle down effect when it comes to climate change and money. Everyone will end up spending more money rather through taxes or loss from climate change. We are already a nation that is in a lot of debt, and I think that the U.S. government (any party) will try to increase taxes slowly and steadily to make up for it.
