The report is about a training in SWISSBORING Company in Oman, the company works mainly on pilling.
Should follow the 4 chapters that are in the attached picture.
The report is mainly about the training that I'm having with the company as I'm a (Quantity Surveyor) and I should make a report about what i did with the company, please follow the attached picture.
I have worked on many projects with the company, there are two of them.
1. Royal Opera House Muscat – Musical Library
2. New car park / office complex at central bank of Oman.
The report should be within 20-30 Pages.
Job description and as per assigned tasks by managers was:
·Draft, evaluate, negotiate and execute contracts
·Establish and maintain supplier relationships by serving as a single point of contact for contractual matters
·Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation
·Develop and implement procedures and policies
·Value engineering
·Provide contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally
·Monitor and complete contract close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriate
·Advising on a range of legal and contractual issues
·Resolving disputes
·Preparing Bill of Quantities
·Valuation of construction work and submits Interim Payment Applications in accordance with the Contractual Conditions.
·Monitoring progress of Works
·liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
·Interim valuations and payment certificates
·Variations analysis, recommendations and management
·Chasing Payment Certificates and resolving dispute quantities if there is any,
·To assess and certify progress claims from sub-contractors
·Provide advice on contractual claims
·Valuation for Bonds and Insurance purposes
·Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs
·Assessment of variations
·To follow-up payments by means of phone, e-mails, official letters and meetings,
·Preparation of progress/ cost reports
·Attendance and representation at commercial meetings
·To acquire Completion and Maintenance Certificate in order to receive the Retention Money,
·Preparation of final account
