"Netiquette" Please respond to all of the following:

"Netiquette" is a portmanteau, or a word which combines two words to create a new one. For example, "brunch" is a word created by mashing together the words "breakfast" and "lunch," as indeed brunch is exactly that, a little bit of breakfast and also of lunch, both in timing and in type of foods served. Similarly, netiquette is a combination of the words "etiquette" and "internet" to use as a way of describing the polite, correct, acceptable, proper way that people should interact when on the internet.

• Discuss the importance of netiquette in professional electronic communication,. Next, explain three (3) possible repercussions of failing to use netiquette in your electronic communications, particularly in your role either now or in the future as a Management professional.
• In Chapter 3, section 2 there is a small article called "Getting Plugged In" which discusses what they call "textese" or texting language. What effects, if any, do you think textese has had on your non-text-message communication?
• Overall do you think textese and other forms of computer-mediated communication (instant messaging, email, social media, etc.) have affected our communication? Try to identify one potential positive and negative influence that textese has had on our verbal communication.
