Cross-cultural training: This training provides skills for employees to be able to communicate one-on-one with other employees from different cultures.

In American, most supervisors or managers tend to focus on the positive aspects of coaching an employee and speaking positively when talking about negative aspects of a job performance when coaching in the moment. When you are talking to someone from another country, they may not realize that there is a problem with their performance because they hear the positive connotations in their supervisor’s voice. Cross-cultural training can be very useful in all business to have supervisors do and understand that in some cultures, you have to be firmer and to the point when there is a problem, otherwise the employee might not understand that there is a problem at all. This type of training can be useful in ROI because it could bring in more culturally diverse employees and can allow an exchange program with American employees and employees from other countries. This type of program could bring in more people interested in working for the company and could even create internships for college students that gives them a chance to both study and work abroad.
